Defence Alliance to Strengthen Further: Turkey Announces Joint Military Exercises with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia
ANKARA: Turkey has announced that it will conduct joint military exercises with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia under the Makkah Pact for Joint Defence, in a move aimed at further strengthening defence cooperation among the three countries.
According to Turkish officials, the joint military exercises will focus on enhancing defence coordination, communication and interoperability, as well as strengthening the military capabilities of Turkey, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Defence ties between the three countries have increased significantly in recent times, with Ankara, Islamabad and Riyadh expanding cooperation in the security and military sectors.
The Makkah Pact represents a new framework for joint defence and security cooperation among the three countries and is aimed at enhancing coordination in response to emerging security challenges.
The planned exercises are expected to provide the armed forces of the three countries with an opportunity to improve coordination and deepen their defence partnership.
