Good News for Millions of Muslims: Hajj Will No Longer Be in Extreme Heat for the Next 25 Years

Dubai:In a major relief for millions of Muslims worldwide, the sacred journey of **Hajj** will no longer fall during the scorching summer heat for the next **25 years**. According to the **UAE’s National Center for Meteorology**, the current year marks the last time that Hajj will be performed during the extreme summer temperatures. Starting from **2026**, the pilgrimage will take place in more moderate seasons, ensuring that pilgrims will not face the intense heat in the coming years.
The shift is due to the **lunar calendar**, which causes Hajj to occur approximately **11 days earlier** each year. As a result, in the coming years, the pilgrimage will be conducted during **spring**, **autumn**, and **winter**, providing pilgrims with more pleasant weather conditions. The **National Center for Meteorology** confirmed that, from **2026 to 2050**, Hajj will fall in cooler seasons, which will offer a more comfortable experience for those performing the pilgrimage.
The **25-year Hajj calendar** has been released, outlining the specific seasons for Hajj from **2026 to 2050**. According to the calendar:
* **2026 to 2033**: Spring (March to May)
* **2034 to 2041**: Winter (January, February, then December)
* **2042 to 2049**: Autumn (September to November)
* **2050**: Hajj will return to summer (August)
Experts believe this change will not only be a significant relief for elderly and health-compromised pilgrims but will also help the **Hajj administration** manage crowds, security, and logistics more effectively. With the pilgrimage now falling in milder weather, the spiritual experience of the pilgrims will also be enhanced, making the sacred journey even more memorable and peaceful.
This move promises to improve the overall experience for millions of Muslims who undertake this once-in-a-lifetime journey, ensuring they do so in a more comfortable and spiritually enriching environment.
