Pakistani Diplomatic Delegation, Led by Bilawal Bhutto, Highlights India’s Aggression at United Nations

New York:In the wake of escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, a high-level Pakistani diplomatic delegation led by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has arrived in New York to present Pakistan’s official stance before the international community.

According to media reports, the delegation held a series of important meetings at the United Nations, including with representatives from China, Russia, Denmark, Greece, Panama, Somalia, Algeria, Ghana, Japan, South Korea, Sierra Leone, and Slovenia. The Pakistani representatives categorically rejected India’s accusations and highlighted the need for a peaceful resolution to regional conflicts.

Bilawal Bhutto stated that India was making baseless allegations against Pakistan without presenting any credible evidence. He strongly condemned India’s attacks on civilian areas in Pakistan and its unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, labeling these actions as a serious threat to regional peace.

He called on the international community to play an active role in finding diplomatic solutions before the situation in South Asia escalates further. The efforts of the Pakistani delegation were reportedly appreciated by several elected members of the UN Security Council.

In a key meeting with China’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Fu Cong, Bilawal expressed gratitude for China’s consistent support during this critical time. He briefed the Chinese envoy on India’s aggressive behavior following the Pahalgam incident and reiterated Pakistan’s offer for a transparent investigation, which India refused.

Bilawal emphasized that lasting peace in South Asia is not possible without resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions. Both sides agreed that unilateral and aggressive actions threaten regional stability and must be firmly opposed.

The delegation also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to ceasefire and regional stability, urging the international community to uphold the principles of the UN Charter.

The Foreign Office confirmed that the diplomatic mission will continue its engagements with upcoming visits to Washington, London, and Brussels, where Pakistan’s position will be further presented to the global leadership.
