Family of Missing MPhil Scholar Ghani Baloch Demands Immediate Recovery, Appeals to Rights Groups and Political Parties

Quetta:The family of **Ghani Baloch**, an MPhil scholar in Brahui literature, researcher, translator, publisher, and peaceful activist, has demanded his immediate recovery, stating that if he is accused of any crime, he should be produced before a court of law.
Addressing a press conference at the **Quetta Press Club** on Thursday, Ghani Baloch’s family members revealed that he was **forcibly disappeared on May 25** while traveling from Quetta to Karachi, reportedly abducted by law enforcement personnel from the Khuzdar area without any warrant. Since then, his whereabouts remain unknown.
The family stated that Ghani Baloch has no history of violence and is well-known for his contributions to Brahui literature and peaceful academic work. They expressed deep concern over his condition and urged the **state and concerned institutions** to either formally charge him and present him in court, or release him immediately.
They appealed to **human rights organizations, political parties, and student bodies** to raise their voices and play their role in ensuring Ghani Baloch’s safe recovery. “We are in mental agony and just want justice,” the family said.
