PTI Members Rally Outside Islamabad High Court in Solidarity with Judiciary Amid Mounting Legal Tensions

Islamabad:Members of the **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)**, including National Assembly representatives and party workers, gathered outside the **Islamabad High Court (IHC)** today to express solidarity with the **judiciary**, amid mounting concerns over the **delayed hearing** of the party founder’s appeal in the **£190 million case**.
In anticipation of the protest, **extraordinary security arrangements** were put in place around the High Court. Additional contingents of **police and Frontier Corps (FC)** were deployed, and **prison vans and armored vehicles** were stationed at the site. Security forces were placed on **high alert** to handle any potential emergency.
The PTI leadership expressed deep dissatisfaction over the continued delay in scheduling the **suspension of sentence appeal** for their founding leader. According to the party, the lack of progress in the case has caused growing frustration among its members.
Speaking on the matter, **Barrister Dr. Saif**, the Information Adviser for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stated that today’s protest would be **strong and symbolic**, aimed at drawing attention to what he called a **paralyzed judicial system**. “Justice delayed is justice denied,” he said, urging the judiciary to break free from what he termed the “chains of the 26th Constitutional Amendment” and immediately hear the party founder’s cases.
Dr. Saif further alleged that the **delays prove the cases lack merit** and are politically motivated to keep the PTI founder behind bars. “The founder is a psychological threat to the fake government. His release signals the beginning of the end for them,” he added.
Today’s demonstration comes at a **critical time** for PTI, as its leadership faces **multiple legal challenges** and seeks **urgent relief from the courts**. The protest underscores the party’s **growing pressure on the judiciary** and highlights ongoing political tensions as the legal fate of its leader remains uncertain.
