India Seeks Arab Mediation After Pakistan’s Retaliatory Strikes Destroy Fighter Jets and Military Headquarters

Tensions between Pakistan and India have escalated dramatically following what Pakistani officials have described as “cowardly” and unprovoked attacks by India, which targeted civilians and infrastructure in multiple Pakistani locations. In response, the Pakistan Air Force launched a swift counteroffensive, downing five Indian fighter jets and destroying an Indian brigade headquarters.

According to diplomatic sources, the Indian government has reached out to Arab nations, particularly the United Arab Emirates, urging them to intervene and de-escalate the situation. India reportedly asked Arab leaders to exert their influence on Pakistan to reduce rising tensions.

The UAE’s response came swiftly. Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan urged both countries to avoid further escalation, warning that heightened conflict could threaten regional and global peace. “Dialogue and mutual understanding must be prioritized,” he stated, calling for restraint on both sides.

Earlier, Pakistan’s military spokesperson, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, confirmed that India carried out 24 cross-border attacks using various weapons, striking six different locations in Pakistan. These assaults resulted in the deaths of eight civilians, left 35 injured, and two missing. Among the victims were innocent women and children, according to the ISPR briefing.

Pakistan’s retaliatory action was forceful and immediate, demonstrating its defensive capabilities and commitment to national sovereignty. The destruction of five Indian aircraft and a military headquarters marks a significant blow to Indian military operations in the region.

The international community continues to monitor the situation closely, with growing calls for de-escalation and diplomatic resolution.
