Balochistan Government Reduced to Political Farce, Claims Lashkari Raisani

Islamabad:Lashkari Raisani, a prominent Baloch politician, has strongly criticized the Pakistani establishment for reducing the Balochistan government to a political farce, accusing it of manipulating the province for its narrow interests. Raisani alleged that the establishment is using its influence to crush the provincial government’s authority and create divisions for its own benefit.
In a scathing statement, Raisani condemned the Mines and Minerals Bill 2025, calling it a violation of the 18th Amendment. He stated that the law, which hands over the province’s valuable mineral resources to the federal government, undermines Balochistan’s autonomy and ignores the long-term welfare of its people. “Instead of using our mineral wealth to secure a better future for generations to come, the federal government has seized control,” he remarked.
He further criticized the establishment’s lack of interest in the plight of Baloch youth, many of whom have been driven to the mountains, presumably due to a lack of opportunities at home. Raisani pointed out that while roads remain closed for the common man, smuggling operations, particularly in fuel, continue to thrive—an apparent contradiction that he attributes to the policies pushed by the establishment.
“The political cartoons created by the establishment in Balochistan are nothing but a mockery. They have no concern for the people of Balochistan. Instead, they are busy playing games in their political Disneyland,” said Raisani, emphasizing the need for genuine attention to the province’s issues.
Raisani’s remarks come amid growing dissatisfaction with the federal government’s handling of Balochistan’s resources and the ongoing unrest in the province.
