Modern Endoscopy Machine Installed in Turbat, Issues of Makran Medical College Contract Employees to Be Resolved: Dr. Malik

**Turbat (Daily Qudrat Quetta):** Member of the Provincial Assembly and former Chief Minister of Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, along with Deputy Commissioner Kech Bashir Ahmed Baloch, inaugurated a state-of-the-art endoscopy machine at the Teaching Hospital Turbat for the diagnosis of stomach and intestinal diseases.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch said that the installation of the machine, worth Rs 10.3 million, was made possible through the personal efforts of the Deputy Commissioner Kech and the cooperation of OGDCL. He said the facility would benefit not only patients from District Kech but from the entire Makran Division, adding that patients would no longer need to travel to Quetta or Karachi for such diagnostic procedures.
He noted that while specialist doctors were already available, the absence of modern machinery had created difficulties, which have now been resolved with the installation of the endoscopy unit.
On the occasion, the former chief minister assured contract employees of Makran Medical College that he would consult the Chief Minister of Balochistan and the Chief Secretary to resolve their issues related to regularization, salaries, and grading.
Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Waheed Baloch, thanked the district administration and the provincial health minister for providing the modern medical equipment, terming it a significant step toward improving healthcare services in the region.
