Major Decisions in Balochistan to Promote State Interests, Peace, and Education: CM Sarfraz Bugti Chairs High-Level Meeting

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a high-level review meeting on the implementation of the Provincial Action Plan, attended by Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan and secretaries of all departments.
The Home and Tribal Affairs Department presented a detailed briefing on the Provincial Action Plan. The meeting was informed that action has been initiated against government employees involved in anti-state activities. Additionally, permits for 11 buses operated by various companies allegedly assisting such activities have been revoked and their operations banned.
The Education Department also briefed the meeting, stating that for the first time in Balochistan’s history, 1,436 closed schools have been reopened within just two months. Appointment orders for 7,908 contract teachers have been issued, with recruitment of an additional 3,500 teachers expected soon.
CM Bugti directed that the Provincial Action Plan be made more integrated and effective, emphasizing that its full implementation is essential for peace restoration and requires immediate action. He stressed that all decisions will be made collectively, with the state’s interests prioritized and merit upheld at all costs.
He remarked that the fight against terrorism is not only the military’s responsibility but that of every citizen. The Chief Minister also ordered strict monitoring of anti-state propaganda and activities and called for a review of NGO operations to ensure they are not involved in illegal activities.
CM Bugti said that comprehensive legislation will be introduced with input from all stakeholders. He emphasized the need to present truth-based facts to the public in this age of social media and AI, saying it is time to focus on truth and reality rather than popular narratives.
