Balochistan Cabinet Condemns Indian Allegations, Expresses Grief Over Nushki Tragedy, Decides on Strict Action Against Smuggling

QUETTA: A key session of the Balochistan provincial cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, strongly condemned India’s baseless allegations against Pakistan in relation to the Pahalgam incident. The Chief Minister stated that despite Pakistan’s offer for transparent investigations, India’s aggressive attitude is regrettable.
He reaffirmed that every Pakistani stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces in the defense of the motherland, and that the people of Balochistan are firmly aligned with both the military and the government. He warned that if the enemy attempts to impose war, the entire nation is fully prepared to defend Pakistan.
The cabinet expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident in Nushki and emphasized the urgent need for effective measures to curb the smuggling of illegal petroleum products, diesel, and other goods. Chief Minister Bugti ordered an investigation into the incident, stating that those found responsible will face strict action.
He reiterated that the safety of citizens is the government’s top priority. Emergency rescue and relief operations were launched immediately after the Nushki incident, and the Health Department staff performed commendably under pressure.
Acknowledging the efforts of the Health Minister, Secretary Health, doctors, and paramedical staff, Chief Minister Bugti informed the cabinet that 24 critically injured patients were airlifted to Karachi via a special aircraft this morning. He assured that the government stands firmly with the affected families and will provide all possible assistance.
