Social Justice Must Precede Economic Reforms, Says Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail

Quetta + Islamabad (Qudrat News) — Governor of Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has said that in all civilized and developed countries, social justice holds a fundamental position even before judicial justice, and without it, economic reforms and governance initiatives fail to produce effective results.
In a statement, he said that social justice ensures fundamental rights, equal opportunities, and the protection of life and property for citizens. He added that the success of good governance and economic policies is directly linked to whether their benefits reach the common people.
Jaffar Khan Mandokhail emphasized that the real strength of any society lies in making ordinary citizens the focal point of policymaking and development projects. He noted that the effectiveness of governance frameworks is judged by whether they bring visible improvements in people’s lives.
He warned that if the benefits of economic growth do not reach the public, it leads to an increase in poverty, street crime, and injustice.
The governor further stated that social injustice, lack of merit, and unequal access to opportunities create social unrest, mistrust, and negative societal behavior, ultimately damaging the overall social fabric.
He added that sustainable peace, economic prosperity, and political stability can only be achieved when meaningful public participation is ensured in all political and economic processes.
