China Reaffirms Support for Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Stance

ISLAMABAD – China has reaffirmed its support for Pakistan’s stance on counter-terrorism.
According to details, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, during which Ishaq Dar briefed his Chinese counterpart about the recent tensions between Pakistan and India.
Ishaq Dar emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to fighting terrorism and is not seeking any escalation of tensions in the region. He stated that Pakistan intends to handle the matter with seriousness and responsibility.
During the conversation, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that China is closely monitoring the situation in the region. He reiterated that the fight against terrorism is a collective responsibility of all nations and that China has always supported Pakistan’s stance on counter-terrorism.
Wang Yi further affirmed China’s full support for Pakistan’s sovereignty and security, adding that the India-Pakistan tensions are detrimental to the peace of both countries and the broader region.
