ANF Seizes Narcotics Worth Over Rs55 Million, Eight Suspects Arrested Across Multiple Cities

Rawalpindi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized over Rs55.7 million worth of narcotics during seven separate operations across the country, arresting eight suspects in the process. According to an ANF spokesperson, the crackdown against drug trafficking—particularly targeting educational institutions—is ongoing in various cities.
In Peshawar, near Bagh Naran Park, ANF recovered 2 kilograms of hashish, 500 ecstasy tablets, and a pistol from a vehicle, arresting three suspects who confessed to selling drugs to students.
Other operations included:
Peshawar (Hayatabad): 30 ecstasy tablets were recovered from a parcel at a courier office, intended to be sent to Jhang.
Lahore (Gulberg): 8.4 kilograms of crystal meth (ice) found in a parcel bound for Australia at a courier office.
Kala Shah Kaku Toll Plaza (Lahore): 14.4 kilograms of opium and 34.8 kilograms of hashish seized from a truck, with three suspects arrested.
Karachi (Super Highway): 13.2 kilograms of hashish found in a suspect’s bag near Bismillah Market.
Hyderabad (Qasimabad): 8.4 kilograms of hashish recovered from a passenger on a bus.
Hub (Balochistan, Windar area): 41 kilograms of opium and 18 kilograms of heroin discovered in a remote area, hidden for smuggling.
All suspects have been booked under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are currently underway.
