Karachi:The Northern Bypass of Karachi has transformed into a bustling hub of livestock trade as Asia’s largest cattle market sees a massive influx of sacrificial animals from across Pakistan in preparation for Eid-ul-Adha.
Trucks and trailers carrying beautifully groomed cows, bulls, goats, calves, heifers, and camels have arrived from various provinces, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Kashmir, and remote rural areas, as well as from local Karachi farmhouses.
The Karachi cattle market, which was officially opened 15 days ago, is witnessing a growing number of animals arriving daily. The market is now filled with vibrant blocks named after regions, including KP, Kashmir, and Punjab, all bustling with activity as traders and buyers negotiate deals.
