Governor Sindh Announces Plots and Free Education for Families of Dump Truck Accident Victims

Karachi: Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has announced that the families of those who lost their lives in dump truck accidents will be given residential plots and their children will be provided with free education.
While speaking to the media at the Governor House, Kamran Tessori expressed deep sorrow over the increasing number of fatal traffic accidents in Karachi, specifically those involving dump trucks. “No amount of money, land, or any compensation can equal the value of a human life,” he said. “The tears of those who have lost their loved ones are unending.”
He emphasized that law enforcement in Karachi and Sindh has been inadequate, resulting in a daily rise in deadly incidents. The Governor extended his gratitude to the Chief Justice of Pakistan for taking notice of the letter he had sent, expressing hope that justice would now be served for the victims.
Over 150 affected families gathered at the Governor House, according to Tessori. He criticized police officials for not registering proper FIRs in such cases and urged authorities to stop politicizing the tragedy. “Let’s not play politics over dead bodies. I warn those trying to stir ethnic tensions—I stand against such division,” he said.
Governor Tessori also declared that if needed, he would be the first to sell his bungalow and cars to support the victims. He announced that the children of affected families would receive free education up to 12th grade and that each family would be given a residential plot.
He strongly criticized political parties for ignoring the victims and using the tragedy for their own agendas. “Today, every ethnicity is represented at the Governor House. If you truly care about these people, come here and make a declaration to help,” he stated.
Addressing the Dump Truck Association, Tessori invited its leaders to visit the Governor House and provide compensation to the victims without discrimination. “Let’s serve the people without bias,” he added. “The real politics now should be about education, health, and skills—not division and negligence.”
