Ali Amin Gandapur Vows to Fight for KPK’s Rights, Threatens to Forcefully Take NFC Share

Mardan: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Ali Amin Gandapur, has asserted that the province will fight for its rights on every forum, warning that if their share is not granted in the National Finance Commission (NFC), they will forcefully claim it. He emphasized that the province will seek its due rights through legal avenues and courts.
While addressing a public gathering during his visit to Mardan and at the Benazir Children’s Hospital, Gandapur stated that it is the government’s responsibility to provide facilities to the public at their doorsteps. “A hospital is not just a building, it is where medical treatment is provided. Likewise, we are working to ensure education in schools and services in offices,” he added.
Gandapur also highlighted that the provincial government is utilizing public taxes for the benefit of the people, stressing that the government’s funds are the public’s funds and should be used wisely. He noted that upon taking office, health card services had been suspended, and the government had inherited liabilities worth billions in various sectors, including health. However, the government is working towards clearing these debts.
The Chief Minister stated that under the leadership of the PTI’s founder, the province has transformed into the wealthiest in the country. He explained that significant reforms had been made, which have allowed the province to save money that was previously lost in the system. “In the last 13 months, we have not borrowed a single penny but repaid a debt of 50 billion rupees,” he added.
Gandapur emphasized the importance of financial independence, stating that countries dependent on loans cannot be self-sufficient or sovereign. He revealed that the next budget would align with the government’s vision, focusing on public welfare, and he vowed to complete ongoing development projects within their set timelines.
Regarding future funding, the Chief Minister outlined that large-scale development projects would be included in the annual development program, while each representative would receive 50 million rupees for smaller initiatives. Furthermore, every constituency would receive 200 million rupees in the upcoming budget. He reiterated that KPK’s rightful share of 256 billion rupees from the NFC allocation remains unmet.
“We are very close to achieving our rights, and we are determined to make KPK self-sufficient in every way,” Gandapur concluded. He also expressed strong support for PTI Chairman Imran Khan, claiming that Khan is making sacrifices for the survival of future generations and facing unjust treatment from external forces.
Ali Amin Gandapur reaffirmed that their only goal is the supremacy of the constitution and law, not seeking any personal office or position. He stated that if they fail, future generations will continue to suffer from deprivation.
