US Tariffs Could Lead to $700 Million Loss for Pakistani Exports

Pakistan’s exports could face a loss of between $500 million and $700 million due to the 29% tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump on Pakistani-made products.
According to a report published in *Jang* and *The News*, initial estimates suggest that this tariff could significantly impact Pakistan’s export revenue. The move is expected to create uncertainty and could potentially lead to a recession in U.S. markets as well.
It is worth noting that President Trump recently imposed tariffs on several countries, including China, Canada, Japan, Ukraine, and the European Union, stating that any country imposing tariffs on U.S. goods would face similar measures in return. He further emphasized that the only way to eliminate tariffs is for companies to produce their goods in the U.S.
In addition to this, the U.S. has imposed a 104% tariff on China, with Trump accusing China of manipulating its currency in response to the tariffs. However, he believes that China will eventually agree to a deal at some point.
