Aimal Wali Khan Warns Against Foreign Intervention in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan

Aimal Wali Khan, leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), has raised concerns about the preparations for a new global conflict between China and the United States on the soil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. He warned that there are plans underway to drag the region into another foreign war, with the lives of local children being put at risk.
Speaking in Peshawar, Aimal Wali Khan recalled the past when the war between the United States and Russia was ongoing, and ANP had clearly stated that it was not a “jihad” but rather a “fitna” (chaos). He pointed out that the same religious leaders who had once encouraged children to fight in the name of heaven were now calling the ongoing conflict “fitna.”
He emphasized that violence is never a solution to any problem and only complicates matters further. According to him, the real power of the people lies in politics, and their weapon should be the flag of non-violence.
Aimal Wali Khan also stressed the importance of mutual trust and dialogue to find permanent solutions to the country’s internal issues. He highlighted that separatist movements can only be resolved on a political basis, requiring sincerity from all parties involved.
He reiterated the importance of prioritizing peace above all else, as it is the only way forward. He called for transparency in policies and for these policies to be discussed in Parliament to gain the confidence of the public.
Moreover, Aimal Wali Khan made it clear that there should be no place for terrorism in the country, and there should be no ambiguity on this matter. He emphasized that the state must sit with the people, address their concerns, acknowledge their rights, and ensure they accept Pakistan.
He concluded by stating that the ANP will never support violence in any form and will continue to raise its voice for peace.
