BSOs Seminar in Gwadar Marks Shaheed-e-Gwadar’s Anniversary, Pays Tribute to Martyrs

Gwadar:The Baloch Students Organization (BSO) held a seminar in Gwadar to mark the anniversary of the Shaheeds of Gwadar. A large number of people attended the seminar, paying tribute to the martyrs and acknowledging their sacrifices.
The seminar was addressed by BSO Chairman Balach Qadir, Junior Vice Chairman Amir Nazir, former BSO Chairman Advocate Saeed Faiz, BNP Gwadar President Majid Sahrabi, and Karim Shambay. The event was managed by BSO Central Committee Member Karam Baloch and Gwadar Zone President Waleed Baloch.
The speakers, in their addresses, paid rich tributes to martyrs Yasmin, Azgul, and Ghulam Nabi, highlighting their bravery and sacrifices. They emphasized that February 21st marks a tragic day for Balochistan, as the state responded to the demand for water with violence, leaving the people of Gwadar riddled with bullets. Such incidents, they noted, are unprecedented in the world, where people’s basic needs are met with such brutal repression.
The speakers remarked that even after thirty-seven years, the people of Gwadar, like many others in Balochistan, continue to struggle with the deprivation of basic necessities such as water. The tragedy of Gwadar, they said, exposed the relationship between the ruling establishment in Islamabad and the oppressed people of Balochistan.
The speakers strongly criticized the state’s policy of suppressing democratic voices in Balochistan with the use of force, rather than recognizing the national rights of the Baloch people. They highlighted the recent banning of Baloch book stalls and the alarming rise in targeted killings of Baloch teachers and students.
The speakers also pointed out that the everyday humiliation faced by the people of Balochistan has become a norm. Despite these challenges, they urged the Baloch youth to continue pursuing education and awareness. They stressed that for the survival of the Baloch nation, it is essential for the youth to be equipped with knowledge and to strengthen their struggle for rights.
