Sajid Khan Praises West Indies Performance, Confident of Winning Second Test

Multan:Pakistan’s magical off-spinner, Sajid Khan, praised the performance of the West Indies cricket team in the ongoing series, acknowledging the increasing professionalism in the game. Speaking at a press conference in Multan, Sajid expressed his confidence in his team’s chances of winning the second Test match after their success in the first.
Sajid Khan highlighted Pakistan’s recent victories, including the win over England, and their triumph in the first Test against the West Indies. “We are hopeful that we will be successful in winning the second Test as well,” he said.
Emphasizing the professionalism in modern cricket, Sajid stated that every player is now more focused than ever, with no batsman wanting to get out and no bowler missing an opportunity to dismiss a batsman. “The competition is tough, and every player is striving to give their best performance,” he added.
Sajid also praised the pitch in Multan for playing a key role in making the Test series more decisive. “Aaqib Bhai’s decision to create such a track is commendable,” he said, explaining that results in Test cricket, which once took until the fifth day to materialize, are now being seen much earlier.
Addressing concerns about Pakistan’s middle-order batting, Sajid defended his teammates, acknowledging that mistakes are part of the game. “Our batsmen are putting up a strong fight, and mistakes happen in cricket, as I too made a few errors in the second Test,” he noted.
He also appreciated the efforts of every player, including Babar Azam, saying, “Anyone who got the chance has played well.” Sajid expressed hope for Saud Shakil and the upcoming batsmen, saying, “We expect Saud to perform well on the third day, and the other batsmen will do their best to guide us to victory. Nothing is impossible, and we will fight hard to win the Test.”
In response to a question about the changing conditions during the game, Sajid explained that the ball tends to get older after 20-25 overs, making batting easier and more opportunities to score runs. “We hope that our batsmen will play well on the third day and try their best to win the match,” he added.
Sajid also responded to a query about tailenders’ capabilities, stating, “This is no longer an era when tailenders can’t bat. Now, everyone contributes and can handle the bat.”
