Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch Condemns Abduction of Masoom Kakr and Criticizes Government’s Performance

Quetta:The leader of the National Party, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, condemned the abduction of Masoom Kakr during a meeting with a delegation from the All Pakistan Sarafa Association. He expressed concern over the fact that Masoom Kakr has yet to be recovered, stating that this reflects the government’s poor performance and lack of priority regarding public safety.

Dr. Baloch emphasized that the failure to recover Masoom Kakr highlights the government’s neglect of crucial issues, and he called for stronger actions to address this alarming situation. He also acknowledged the support of the National Party for Masoom Kakr’s recovery, as expressed by the Vice President and Provincial General Secretary of the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, Naeem Ramadan Saraf, and Haji Zahoor Somro Saraf. They requested further efforts and advocacy for Kakr’s safe return.

Dr. Baloch reiterated that peace cannot be achieved through mere rhetoric but requires clear priorities. He stressed the need to reform police stations, which should not be seen as avenues for corruption or money-making, but rather as institutions of merit and protection. He called for a sense of security to be instilled within police stations, which would require concrete actions.

Dr. Baloch reaffirmed that the National Party holds the principled stance that the country’s survival lies in democratic governance, where the people should hold ultimate power and change should only come through the strength of the vote. He lamented that for the past 70 years, elections have been marred by manipulation and suppression of the people’s will. He specifically referred to the recent elections as a “stain” on the country’s history, with consequences that will lead the nation into severe hardship.

In closing, Dr. Baloch assured that the National Party would continue to play an active role in securing the release of Masoom Kakr and would not back down in the fight for justice. The meeting was also attended by the National Party’s central spokesperson Ali Ahmed Langoo, former provincial president Mir Abdul Khaliq Baloch, district general secretary Riyaz Zahri, and Arif Kard, among others.
