KP Lifts Ban on Government Employee Transfers, Postings, and Recruitment

Peshawar: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has lifted the ban on transfers, postings, and recruitment of government employees, which had been imposed due to the delay in the formation of the provincial cabinet.
Following the cabinet’s formation, the restrictions have now been removed. Transfers for positions of Grade 17 and above will require approval from the relevant administrative secretary, minister, advisor, or special assistant.
The Chief Minister has also instructed that the ban on recruitments be lifted, emphasizing that all new appointments should strictly follow the merit system.
In recent postings, Senior Police Officer Muhammad Ali Gandapur has been appointed as Additional IG of the Elite Force KP, while Muhammad Hussain has been assigned as DIG Crime and Investigation KP, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
