From Mufti Mahmood to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, JUI Has Written History for Democracy and Supremacy of the Constitution: Maulana Abdul Wasey

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta), September 10: Balochistan Provincial Ameer Senator Maulana Abdul Wasey has said that anti-Islamic forces have united on one page against Islam and Islamic symbols. In such circumstances, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam is present in the field as a strong, effective, and principled voice of the Islamic world and is fighting the war for the protection of Islamic identity, religious values, and the rights of the Muslim Ummah within the country and abroad.
He said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has played a historic role since day one for the stability of democracy and the supremacy of the Constitution and Parliament in Pakistan. From Mufti Mahmood to today’s Qaid-e-Jamiat Maulana Fazlur Rehman, JUI has led various movements for the protection of democratic rights in every era and raised the voice of truth before dictatorship and undemocratic forces. Even today, Pakistan’s democratic case is being fought with full force under the leadership of Qaid-e-Jamiat Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and the conflict between democratic and undemocratic forces continues in the country. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam stands with the people, the Constitution, Parliament, and the electorate today as in every era and will always put its weight on the side of the people.
Maulana Abdul Wasey said that the elimination of political uncertainty, anxiety, and concern in the country is possible only when transparent, free, and fair elections are held while recognizing the true mandate of the people, because no political system can achieve lasting stability without public confidence.
He said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has given countless sacrifices for democracy, the supremacy of the Constitution, the parliamentary system, and the people’s right to rule. Our elders endured the hardships of imprisonment, workers faced difficulties, and paid a heavy price for the democratic struggle, but Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam will never abandon its principled stance and democratic struggle. Our path is the path of the Constitution, Parliament, the electorate, and the public mandate, and we will remain steadfast on this path in all circumstances.
