Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party Condemns DHA Land Grab Attempts in Quetta Suburbs, Vows Public Resistance

Quetta: The Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP) has strongly condemned attempts by the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) to seize tribal lands in Quetta’s suburban areas of Serah Khula, Kali Shabak, and Serah Ghardgi. In an official press release, the party described the installation of boundary pillars on Bazi tribe lands as “completely unacceptable” and a serious threat to local peace and stability.

The party emphasized that despite a previous High Court ruling declaring such land grabs illegal, attempts to occupy tribal lands have resumed, violating both law and justice. PNAP warned that any illegal encroachment will be met with organized public resistance, and the party leadership will actively raise its voice against such actions on every platform.

The release also raised concerns over the use of heavy weaponry near populated areas under the pretext of military training, calling it “irresponsible and inhumane.” PNAP demanded the immediate relocation of firing ranges and all military activities away from civilian settlements to ensure public safety and peace.

The party stated it is coordinating with other political groups, social organizations, and tribal elders to mount a “strong, organized, and effective” protest against illegal land seizures, reiterating its commitment to protect the fundamental rights of local communities.
