National Party Opposes Transfer of Angiography Machine from Sheikh Zayed Hospital Quetta

Quetta: The National Party has expressed serious concern over the proposed transfer of an angiography machine from Sheikh Zayed Hospital Quetta, warning that the move would deprive the public of essential healthcare facilities.
In a statement, the party’s central spokesperson said that Sheikh Zayed Hospital serves a large population, including patients from remote areas, and removing such a critical medical facility would create severe difficulties, particularly for heart patients. The spokesperson cautioned that the decision could pose serious risks to patients requiring timely cardiac care.
The party emphasized that instead of taking away existing facilities, the hospital should be upgraded with modern technology and improved medical resources. Such steps, it said, would strengthen the healthcare system rather than weaken it.
While acknowledging that establishing new institutions is a positive development, the spokesperson stressed that shifting resources from already functional hospitals is inappropriate and could lead to inequality in healthcare services.
The National Party urged authorities to immediately halt the proposed transfer and ensure that angiography services remain available at Sheikh Zayed Hospital to provide timely and quality treatment to the public.
