Islamabad:Pakistan made a splendid start in the Asian Under-18 Volleyball Championship held in Bahrain, defeating Korea in their opening match. The young Pakistani players maintained their composure to secure a 3-2 victory in a thrilling match against Korea.
During the match, Pakistan initially held a 2-1 lead, but Korea fought back to level the score. However, Pakistan displayed decisive performance in the final set to clinch the victory.
Janiid, Abubakr, and Yahya played crucial roles in Pakistan’s win, with the scores ending 25-22, 23-25, 17-25, 25-20, and 13-15.
In the upcoming event, Pakistan will face traditional rivals India on Monday. In the 2023 edition, India secured the third position.
The Pakistan team is determined to maintain their winning momentum against India as well.
