Lahore High Court Schedules Hearing for PTI Founder’s Bail Pleas in Eight May 9th Cases

The Lahore High Court has scheduled a hearing for the bail petitions of PTI founder Imran Khan in connection with eight cases, including the one related to Jinnah House, from May 9th. The two-member bench, comprising Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi and Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, will hear the case on March 18.
In his petitions, Imran Khan has stated that on the day of the May 9th incidents, he was in the custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Islamabad. He claimed that he was falsely implicated in these cases as part of a political vendetta, accusing a conspiracy being orchestrated against him. Khan also mentioned that he had been facing these cases for two years, with ongoing retaliatory actions against him.
Imran Khan has requested the Lahore High Court to approve his bail in these eight cases and order his release. Previously, the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore had rejected his bail applications in eight of these cases. A total of twelve cases have been registered against the PTI founder in Lahore regarding the events of May 9th, with bail already granted in four of them.
