Quetta:Former Deputy Speaker of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Qasim Khan Suri, has raised serious allegations on the Social Contacts website (X), claiming that IPP contracts from 1994, 2002, and 2015 under the governments of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are benefiting 40 families at the expense of millions of Pakistanis. Suri alleges that despite non-production of electricity, these IPPs are receiving a staggering 10 billion rupees monthly, amounting to colossal financial losses.
“These IPPs are a testament to the unparalleled feats of corruption,” Suri stated in his statement, published by the Qudrat newspaper.
