Balochistan Is Moving Towards New Heights of Development Under CM Sarfraz Bugti: Babar Yousafzai

QUETTA: Balochistan government’s Adviser on Home Affairs Babar Yousafzai has said that the province is moving towards new milestones of development and prosperity under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

In a detailed statement, Yousafzai said the provincial government was taking practical measures instead of making mere claims to provide relief to the people, create opportunities for young people and put Balochistan on the path of development.

He said Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti had declared the youth of Balochistan the province’s most valuable asset and was giving special attention to their educational future.

Under merit-based scholarship programmes, talented students from Balochistan are being provided opportunities to study at leading universities around the world. Yousafzai said students from the province were now studying at prestigious institutions such as Oxford and Harvard, describing this as a practical reflection of the chief minister’s youth-focused policies and educational vision.

The adviser said the government was also creating employment and training opportunities in modern fields, including artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies, to equip young people with skills required in the modern era.

He said a merit-based culture was being promoted in the province to eliminate favouritism and nepotism, ensuring that young people received equal opportunities to progress based on their talent, qualifications and hard work.

Development Projects in Remote Areas

Speaking about ongoing development projects, Yousafzai said the government’s clear objective was to ensure that development was not limited to major cities but reached remote areas and ordinary citizens at their doorsteps.

He said practical progress was being made on projects involving roads, education, clean drinking water, electricity, infrastructure and other basic facilities so that people could access essential services closer to their homes.

Two Modern Cardiac Hospitals

Yousafzai also highlighted the government’s initiatives in the health sector, saying work was continuing to improve the healthcare system and provide modern medical facilities.

He said the establishment of two modern cardiac hospitals in Balochistan was part of the government’s people-friendly vision. The objective, he added, was to ensure that residents of the province would no longer have to travel to other provinces for specialised cardiac treatment.

Concluding his statement, Yousafzai said the provincial government was promoting a development and administrative culture centred on ordinary citizens, youth, merit and public service.

He said Balochistan was moving forward in education, healthcare, employment, infrastructure and modern technology, and that the development process would continue to accelerate under the leadership of Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti.
