PDMA Balochistan Ensures Smooth Traffic Flow as Snow Clearance Operations Continue

Quetta: Following special instructions from Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan, PDMA Balochistan’s snow clearance units are actively operating across the province to manage areas affected by heavy snowfall.

Personnel are engaged in removing snow from roads, spreading red salt, and guiding travelers to ensure smooth traffic flow.
All snow clearance units are being monitored by PDMA directors, with hourly situation reports sent to senior officials to ensure effective oversight of operational activities. Director General PDMA Balochistan, Jahanzeb Khan Ghory Zai, along with the Director Relief and Director Admin, has been visiting various snow clearance sites since last night to directly supervise field operations.
PDMA reported that all major highways are currently open and passable. Travelers stranded due to vehicle breakdowns have been safely rescued and taken to nearby PDMA Emergency Response Centers, where essential facilities are being provided. Rescue teams continue to assist and guide other travelers in affected areas.
PDMA Balochistan has urged citizens to avoid non-essential travel. In case of emergency travel, vehicles should carry sufficient fuel, warm clothing, blankets or shawls, essential food items, and cooperate fully with the relief personnel stationed at critical points.
“Disasters or accidents, PDMA is with you.”
