B-TEVTA Rejects Allegations of Fake Work Permits, Urges Youth to Verify Documents
QUETTA (Qudrat Daily): The Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (B-TEVTA) has rejected allegations regarding fake work permits allegedly raised by a blackmailer group, clarifying that the authority itself does not issue work permits.
According to a B-TEVTA spokesperson, the suspicious work permits in question were received directly by candidates via email without the authority being taken into confidence. As soon as the matter came to light, B-TEVTA sought clarification from the concerned firm in December 2025, which also declared the work permits to be fake.
The spokesperson said the vision of the Balochistan government and the Chief Minister of Balochistan is to provide the province’s youth with quality technical training in line with modern requirements and enable them to secure dignified, safe and sustainable employment opportunities.
He said the Chief Minister’s Youth Skill Development and Overseas Employment Program is not limited to a few hundred young people but is a comprehensive initiative aimed at preparing more than 30,000 skilled youth for the competitive global employment market.
The spokesperson said that immediately after receiving information about the fake work permits, candidates were repeatedly advised not to trust any email, work permit or offer letter without verification from the relevant authority and not to share their personal information with anyone.
B-TEVTA has clarified that issuing work permits is the responsibility of the concerned firm, while the authority is obligated to provide financial assistance under its prescribed rules only after a verified work visa has been obtained.
He said attempts to defame the authority and the government’s program through unverified and fabricated documents on social media were against the interests of the youth. The Balochistan government would not compromise on the dignity, honour and safety of its young men and women and would not push any youth toward an unreliable company or unsafe employment.
The spokesperson further clarified that B-TEVTA, like the youth affected by the alleged irregularities of a consultant firm, is also an affected party in the matter, as the Balochistan government has invested substantial resources in the project.
On the instructions of the Chief Minister of Balochistan, the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team completed a transparent investigation and submitted its report. In light of the report, the anti-corruption authorities are proceeding with further legal action to identify those responsible and ensure that they are punished according to law.
The B-TEVTA spokesperson also strongly rejected allegations of violence against youth at the authority’s office, calling them baseless and fabricated. He said delegations of young people had always visited the institution, where their concerns were heard and they were provided opportunities to meet officials with dignity and respect.
He added that the authority reserved the right to take legal action against individuals making misleading allegations.
The spokesperson said the Balochistan government had also launched a Direct Employment Program to facilitate young people. Meanwhile, under QTECH, a program is underway to provide 1,000 youth with international-standard training in modern IT and technical fields, with the aim of connecting them to the job market and enabling them to secure dignified employment.
He said B-TEVTA remained in continuous contact with young people employed in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, and issues faced by them there were being addressed on a priority basis.
The overseas employment process is linked to the laws of the respective countries, visa quotas and the requirements of companies; therefore, it is essential to follow legal and transparent procedures at every stage, he added.
The spokesperson further said B-TEVTA was planning to provide the province’s youth with high-quality training from renowned national and internationally recognized technical and educational institutions so that they could further enhance their skills according to the requirements of the global market.
He said the Balochistan government and B-TEVTA were fully committed to resolving youth-related issues in a prompt, transparent and fair manner. “The youth are the valuable asset of the province, and all possible measures will continue to be taken for their bright, dignified and secure future,” he said.
The spokesperson urged young people not to trust unverified work permits, offer letters or information circulating on social media and to ensure that every document and employment offer is verified by the relevant authority before proceeding. He also advised them not to share personal information with any unreliable individual or company.
