Balochistan Health Department Accused of Concealing Corruption; PAC Warns of NAB Referral Over Missing Rs10 Billion Audit Record
Officials Given One Week to Produce Documents or Face Suspension

**QUETTA (Daily Qudrat):** The **Public Accounts Committee (PAC)** of the **Balochistan Assembly** has expressed strong anger over the **Health Department’s failure to provide audit records** related to **Rs10 billion in financial irregularities**, accusing the department of deliberately concealing evidence of large-scale corruption.
The PAC, chaired by **Asghar Ali Tareen**, noted that **eight months have passed** since the committee requested the relevant documents, but the Health Department has **not submitted any progress reports or records**. Committee members condemned the continued delay as “a clear sign of incompetence and possible corruption cover-up.”
Chairman **Asghar Ali Tareen** issued a **final warning**, stating that **no compromise would be made on financial discipline and transparency**. He declared that any officer who fails to submit the required documents within one week will be **immediately removed from office**.
The committee has given the department a **one-week ultimatum** to present **all records, contracts, and original documents** before the committee. Failing to do so will result in the **case being referred to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)** or other relevant investigative agencies for a full-scale probe.
PAC members further emphasized that **a thorough investigation** into all instances of **financial mismanagement and illegal procurements** must be conducted to **protect public funds** and **ensure transparency** in Balochistan’s healthcare sector.
