Seven Militants Killed in Intelligence-Based Operation in Hangu: ISPR
HANGU:Security forces killed seven militants belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation in Hangu on August 7, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The military’s media wing said the operation was launched after intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants affiliated with the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Khawarij. Security forces effectively targeted the militants’ hideout during the operation.
According to ISPR, seven militants were killed, and weapons and ammunition were recovered from their possession. The militants were allegedly involved in the killing of several civilians.
During the operation, Captain Hamza embraced martyrdom while fighting bravely. ISPR said Captain Hamza was leading his troops and pursuing the militants when he sacrificed his life.
A sanitization operation is currently underway in the area to eliminate any remaining militants.
ISPR reaffirmed that the counterterrorism campaign against militancy would continue with full force, adding that the sacrifices of the country’s brave soldiers further strengthen the nation’s resolve to ensure its security and protection.
