LHC Issues Arrest Warrants for Accused in Fake Obscene Video Case of Uzma Bukhari

Lahore: The Lahore High Court has issued bailable arrest warrants for Ali Hassan, the accused in the case involving the uploading of a fake obscene video of Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari. The warrants were issued during the hearing of a petition filed by Uzma Bukhari seeking cancellation of the accused’s bail.

Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Justice Aalia Neelum, presided over the proceedings.

The petitioner’s counsel argued that despite 25 consecutive hearings, the accused had failed to appear before the trial court, causing unnecessary delays in the case. He requested the court to cancel Ali Hassan’s bail.

On behalf of the accused, Advocate Azhar Siddique appeared and claimed he could call the accused immediately if the court ordered. Chief Justice Aalia Neelum expressed displeasure, noting that the court’s notice was issued to the accused himself, not to his lawyer.

Due to the repeated absence of the accused, the court issued bailable arrest warrants for Ali Hassan and adjourned further proceedings.
