Asma Jatak Case Serious Human Rights Matter That Cannot Be Ignored: Dr. Rababa Khan Baloch

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister’s Adviser for Women Development Dr. Rababa Khan Baloch has described the Asma Jatak case as a serious and concerning human rights matter that cannot be treated lightly or ignored at any level.

In a statement, Dr. Rababa Khan Baloch said the affected girl from Balochistan was seeking justice and urged all conscientious members of society to stand with truth and justice, setting aside all considerations.

She said Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti was in continuous contact with the affected family, while the Home Department was also actively engaged in the matter. She added that the provincial government was taking all possible steps to ensure justice for Asma Jatak and her family.

The adviser said the Balochistan government was fully aware of its responsibilities regarding human rights and the protection of women and children, stressing that no affected citizen would be left alone in their pursuit of justice.

She assured that transparent and effective legal action would be ensured in the Asma Jatak case in accordance with the law.

Dr. Rababa Khan Baloch said violence, abuse, or injustice against women and children could not be tolerated under any circumstances. She urged all segments of society to act responsibly in sensitive cases, raise their voices for victims, and play their role in ensuring justice.

She expressed confidence that Asma Jatak would receive justice, reiterating that the provincial government was taking the matter seriously and standing with the affected family.

The adviser emphasized that providing justice was a fundamental responsibility of the state and that the requirements of law and justice would be given the highest priority in the case.
