Alleged State Patronage and Facilitation of Armed Groups in Harnai, Ziarat, and Other Pashtun Areas Is Contrary to State Writ: Pashtunkhwa NAP

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta) – Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party, while strongly condemning the allegations of the presence of state-patronized armed proxy groups in Harnai district, Ziarat, and other Pashtun areas, and the recent shelling incident on Kali Alizai Highway, has demanded that armed groups be eliminated from Pashtun districts and the protection of people’s lives and property be ensured.

In a party statement, it was said that serious allegations of providing state patronage and facilities to various armed groups in Zamarri Shor, Damar Pidai, Tangi Shahrag, Wam Tangi, Sarkaan, Gharami, and other areas have continued to surface, as a result of which violent incidents occur from time to time and ordinary citizens are affected.

According to the statement, the policies of turning the Pashtun homeland into a field of unrest, fear, and armed conflict have kept the people in a state of continuous insecurity, while such a situation is contrary to state writ, the rule of law, and public rights.

Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party demanded that armed groups be eliminated from Harnai district, Ziarat, and other Pashtun districts, and the supremacy of civilian and constitutional institutions and the protection of people’s lives and property be ensured. The party said that all matters should be resolved within the ambit of the Constitution and law through the civilian administration.

The statement said that for the restoration of lasting peace, political stability, and public trust, state institutions must ensure impartiality, the rule of law, and the protection of civil rights, while it is necessary to rid the region of all kinds of armed intervention and conflicts.
