Girl Injured During Exchange of Fire Between Police and Suspected Thieves in Dalbandin

Dalbandin: A young girl was injured after being struck by a bullet during an exchange of fire between police and suspected thieves in Dalbandin, the district headquarters of Chagai, officials said.

According to reports, police acted on a tip-off and launched an operation against the suspects. During the operation, the alleged thieves reportedly opened indiscriminate fire on the police, prompting officers to return fire.

The suspects managed to flee the scene in a car while continuing to fire, and police teams are pursuing them.

During the exchange of gunfire, a girl identified as Dilana, daughter of Lal Khan, was hit by a bullet in the waist. She was immediately taken to Prince Fahad Hospital in Dalbandin, where she received initial medical treatment.

Due to the seriousness of her condition, the injured girl was later shifted to Quetta for further treatment.

Police said efforts to apprehend the suspects are ongoing, while further investigation into the incident is underway.
