Police Detain MQM-P Officials After Clash and Firing at Bahadurabad Headquarters

Karachi:Police and law enforcement agencies have launched action following a clash and exchange of gunfire at the **MQM-Pakistan** headquarters in Bahadurabad, detaining several party office-bearers and workers.
According to officials, police carried out raids after the incident and took multiple MQM-P leaders and activists into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police also arrived at the party’s Bahadurabad headquarters with the intention of sealing the office. However, the premises were not sealed after MQM-P representatives objected, arguing that authorities did not possess the required government authorization letter.
The operation comes two days after rival groups within MQM-Pakistan reportedly clashed at the party’s central office in Bahadurabad, during which gunfire was also reported.
A heavy contingent of police and Rangers responded to the scene at the time, cordoning off the area and bringing the situation under control.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the clash and identify those responsible.
