Balochistan CM Pledges to Transform Quetta’s Quaid-e-Azam Library into a Model Institution Within Three Months
QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has responded to students’ concerns over the deteriorating condition of Quaid-e-Azam Library in Quetta, inviting them to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and announcing an ambitious plan to transform the facility into a model library within three months.
During his meeting with the students, the chief minister directed the authorities concerned to establish a digital lab, provide the latest editions of academic books, and restore the library’s cooling and solar power systems, which had reportedly become non-functional.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti pledged that Quaid-e-Azam Library would be developed into one of Pakistan’s exemplary libraries within the stipulated timeframe, emphasizing his government’s commitment to addressing the concerns of young people at every level.
“We will listen to our youth and bridge the existing gap between the state and young citizens,” the chief minister said, adding that the provincial government is taking serious measures to provide quality education and better opportunities for the younger generation.
He noted that the introduction of modern educational facilities at the library would significantly improve opportunities for students engaged in research and academic pursuits.
The chief minister further stated that investment in education, research, and youth development remains among the top priorities of the Balochistan government. He added that a comprehensive plan is already being implemented to modernize educational institutions and libraries across the province in line with contemporary requirements.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti remarked that an educated, skilled, and enlightened youth is the guarantee of Balochistan’s bright future and assured students of the government’s continued support in their academic and professional development.
Students of Quaid-e-Azam Library expressed their gratitude to the chief minister for taking notice of their concerns and for announcing concrete measures aimed at improving the library’s facilities and services.
