Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets Iranian Interior Minister to Discuss Regional and Border Security

Rawalpindi: Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Staff and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, met with Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to discuss regional and bilateral security issues.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two sides exchanged views on the evolving regional security environment and matters related to effective border management.
During the meeting, the Iranian Interior Minister praised Pakistan’s consistent efforts to reduce regional tensions and acknowledged its constructive diplomatic role in promoting peace and stability. He also commended Pakistan’s initiatives aimed at encouraging de-escalation and fostering dialogue in the region.
The ISPR said both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and strengthening cooperative mechanisms to safeguard regional security and promote mutual prosperity.
