Karachi Groom Arrested for Air Firing; Released After Paying Bribe

In Karachi, the police detained a groom during his wedding for allegedly firing shots into the air. According to Express News, the incident occurred in Shah Faisal Colony, where the groom and his friends were reportedly celebrating with gunfire when police arrived on the scene.
The groom apologized for the air firing, after which the Station House Officer (SHO) allegedly accepted a bribe of 25,000 PKR to release him. The groom recorded the interaction and subsequently shared the video online, causing it to go viral.
In response to the public outcry, Sindh’s Interior Minister took notice of the situation and requested a report from the SSP of Korangi District.
