Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Meets Qatar’s Emir, Offers Condolences on Former Emir’s Passing
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to express condolences over the passing of former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The meeting was attended by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, and other senior officials.
On behalf of the Government and the people of Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz extended heartfelt sympathies to the leadership and people of Qatar over the loss of the former Emir.
The Prime Minister praised Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani’s visionary leadership and statesmanship, paying tribute to his significant contributions toward promoting peace, stability, and development in the region. He also recalled the former Emir’s memorable visits to Pakistan and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Qatari leadership and its people during this period of mourning.
Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and the Pakistani delegation for their visit, describing it as a reflection of the strong and enduring ties between Pakistan and Qatar.
