If the Government Is Serious About Negotiations, Imran Khan Should Be Allowed a Family Meeting Tomorrow, Tuesday: Barrister Gohar Khan

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily): PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has said that if the government is serious about negotiations, then Imran Khan should be allowed a family meeting tomorrow, Tuesday. We are neither leaving the government, nor resigning, nor dissolving the assembly.
Speaking at a news conference in Qambar Swat, he said that the government did not show seriousness in the negotiations; now the long march will move forward according to schedule. People talk during wars; the process of talks should not stop. Our demands are very clear. If the government is serious about negotiations, then tomorrow is Tuesday—Imran Khan should be allowed a family meeting. Why have family members been arrested? Why have Imran Khan’s sisters been kept in Kot Lakhpat Jail?
We are neither leaving the government, nor resigning, nor dissolving the assembly. If unconstitutional, undemocratic, and anti-public-will steps are taken—whether it is governor’s rule or emergency—then PTI’s 25 senators, 76 MNAs, 106 MPAs in Punjab, and 91 MPAs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—we have a two-thirds majority—we will be compelled to stage a complete boycott.
The IG Police is ours, the Chief Secretary is ours, and the orders will be ours. If DPOs and DCs do not cooperate, then can law and order be maintained in such a situation? PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan said that the government did not show seriousness; the government should stop interference and let the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government work freely. If DPOs and Deputy Commissioners do not cooperate with elected MNAs and MPAs, how will law and order be restored in the province? Our policy against terrorism is zero tolerance; politics should not be done on such a sensitive issue as terrorism.
The solution to problems lies only in negotiations. The process of negotiations should continue, and the parties should remain seated at the negotiating table until a workable solution emerges.
