All Parties Conference Announces Province-Wide Protest Schedule Over Mangi Dam Phase III Martyrs Sit-In

Quetta:An important joint meeting of political parties and the families of those killed in the Mangi Dam Phase III incident was held in Ziarat to review the ongoing protest sit-in and determine the future course of action.

The meeting was chaired by Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Central General Secretary of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), and attended by representatives from several political parties, including the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party, Awami National Party (ANP), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), National Democratic Movement (NDM), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), National Party (NP), Balochistan National Party (BNP), Mazloom Ulasi Tehreek, members of the business community, and relatives of the deceased.

Participants reviewed all aspects of the ongoing sit-in and expressed satisfaction over the large public participation. The meeting also decided to expand the protest movement through a series of demonstrations across Balochistan.

According to the announced protest schedule:

* **July 15:** Large protest rallies will be held in Zhob, Harnai, Chaman, Turbat, Gwadar, and Panjgur.
* **July 16:** Women and children will stage a special sit-in at the Coal Patek protest camp.
* **July 17:** A province-wide complete shutter-down strike will be observed.

The participants warned that if their demands are not accepted, more stringent protest measures would be announced.

The meeting formed a committee to negotiate with the government, led by Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Nasrullah Zerey, representatives of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, MNA Adil Khan Bazai, Asghar Khan Achakzai, and Agha Hassan Baloch, along with representatives of the victims’ families.

A separate legal committee comprising senior lawyers was also established to examine the legal aspects of the case.

The meeting demanded that the government immediately accept the demands of the families of the Mangi Dam Ziarat victims, establish an independent and empowered judicial commission with clearly defined terms of reference, eliminate armed groups and militant elements from Ziarat, Harnai, Sheban, Takatu, Zarghoon, and surrounding areas, restore the Levies Force, and withdraw the Frontier Corps (FC) from the province.

The participants vowed that the sacrifices of the Mangi Dam martyrs would not be forgotten and pledged to continue peaceful constitutional and democratic efforts to ensure justice and protect the lives and property of the people.
