Two Girls Killed, Three Family Members Injured in Firing on Car in Qila Abdullah
QILA ABDULLAH: Two girls were killed while their parents and a young child were seriously injured when a family’s vehicle came under fire in the Sigi area of Gulistan tehsil in Qila Abdullah district, Balochistan, police sources said.
According to police, the incident occurred when an argument reportedly broke out between a local shopkeeper and the family, who were traveling in their vehicle. The shopkeeper allegedly opened fire following the dispute.
As the family attempted to drive away, market security guards also reportedly opened indiscriminate fire at the vehicle. As a result, two girls were killed on the spot, while their mother, father and a young child sustained serious injuries.
The injured family members were shifted for medical treatment.
Sources said the affected family was originally from Karachi, while the addresses listed on their identity cards were from Karachi and Islamabad.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the firing and identify those responsible.
