Educated Digital Marketing Professional Forced to Live on Karachi Streets Amid Family Hardships

KARACHI: A young man with a master’s degree and several years of experience in digital marketing is reportedly living on the streets of Karachi after family disputes and a lack of support left him homeless.

According to reports, Saqib Tanveer has between seven and eight years of professional experience in digital marketing and is fluent in English. Despite his qualifications and work experience, he has been unable to rebuild his life due to prolonged personal and financial hardships.

Saqib said his life changed dramatically after his parents separated. He claimed that the absence of family support gradually pushed him into severe financial difficulties, eventually leaving him with no place to live.

In an interview, he said, “Today I am alone because of my parents. I want to tell both my father and mother that one day they will be answerable before God.”

He added that he had experienced many ups and downs in life and had previously worked at Ibex as well as at several call centers. However, he said that as his difficulties increased, people who had initially supported him eventually distanced themselves.

Saqib, who holds a master’s degree from the University of Karachi, alleged that members of his father’s family created obstacles in his life that contributed to his current situation. He said he remains in contact with his mother but does not want to burden her, as she has remarried.

The story has drawn widespread attention on social media, where many users described it as a reflection of the challenges faced by talented individuals who struggle to find support and opportunities despite having valuable skills.

Many social media users have also urged the government and charitable organizations to provide assistance to people in similar circumstances and help them reintegrate into society by creating employment opportunities and support programs.
