Iranian State Media Says US Strike on Iranshahr Airport Kills Firefighter

Tehran:Iran’s state news agency **IRNA** has reported that a firefighter was killed in a US strike on facilities at **Iranshahr Airport** in southeastern Iran.
According to the deputy governor of **Sistan and Baluchestan Province** and the governor of Iranshahr, four powerful explosions were heard across the city at around **12:30 a.m. local time**.
Officials said an initial assessment found that several projectiles struck the airport’s **flight operations building** and the **meteorological station**, causing damage to both facilities. Emergency response teams were dispatched immediately, but firefighter **Khaled Qaderi**, who was on duty, was killed in the attack.
The report follows an earlier announcement by the **US Central Command (CENTCOM)** that, under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief, US forces had launched additional strikes against Iran aimed at further reducing Tehran’s ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the **Strait of Hormuz**.
Iranian media also reported explosions in **Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Konarak, Chabahar, Bushehr Province,** and on **Abu Musa Island**. According to the reports, power was disrupted in **Chabahar** following the explosions, while the **Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant** was not damaged despite blasts reported near the province.
Iranian media further claimed that debris from a projectile struck **Imam Ali Hospital** in Chabahar during the attacks.
