Pakistan Urges Restraint, Warns New Regional Conflict Is in No One’s Interest

Islamabad: Pakistan has expressed deep concern over rising regional tensions, urging all parties to exercise restraint and honor their commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), saying that the outbreak of a new conflict would serve no one’s interests.

In a statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson said Pakistan was closely monitoring the deteriorating situation in the region and called on all sides to avoid actions that could further undermine peace and stability.

The spokesperson emphasized that sustained engagement, dialogue, and diplomacy remain the only viable path to achieving lasting peace and resolving disputes.

Pakistan also urged all parties to fulfill their commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, describing the agreement as a strong foundation built on mutual respect and understanding.

According to the Foreign Office, the memorandum provides an important framework for promoting regional stability and shared global prosperity.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s diplomatic stance, the spokesperson said the country remains committed to playing a constructive role in promoting peace, facilitating dialogue, and reducing tensions across the region.
