Trump Issues Fresh Warning to Iran, Reiterates Opposition to Tehran’s Nuclear Program

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran, reiterating that the United States will not allow Tehran to obtain nuclear weapons and asserting that Washington has the capability to eliminate Iran’s nuclear program if necessary.
Speaking to the media, Trump claimed that Iran had carried out missile and drone attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz and described the current confrontation not as a war, but as an effort to achieve Iran’s “denuclearization.” These claims had not been independently verified at the time of his remarks.
Trump also criticized former President Barack Obama’s Iran policy, arguing that previous nuclear agreements were not in the best interests of the United States. He reiterated that Washington would prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
Commenting on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Trump said he remains in contact with Russian President Vladimir Putin and that discussions on the possibility of a ceasefire are continuing through various channels. He added that he may visit Ukraine at an appropriate time in the future.
The U.S. president also said the United States is strengthening its defense cooperation with Ukraine, including progress on Patriot missile systems and drone technology.
During his remarks, Trump made additional claims regarding Iranian military installations and other potential targets. Those statements have also not been independently confirmed by official or independent sources.
Analysts say the Middle East remains highly volatile, and such statements could have significant diplomatic and security implications. They note that any further developments should be assessed in light of official government announcements and independently verified information.
