One Killed, Several Injured in Clash Between Armed Men and Local Tribespeople in Quetta’s Hanna Urak

QUETTA: One person was killed and several others were injured in an exchange of gunfire between armed assailants and local residents in the Hanna Urak area on the outskirts of Quetta on Sunday, prompting the deployment of additional security forces and sparking protests by residents.
According to local reports, armed men clashed with residents of Hanna Urak, resulting in the death of a local man identified as Naqeebullah, while several others sustained injuries.
Following the incident, the security situation in the area remained tense. Heavy contingents of the Frontier Corps Balochistan and the Anti-Terrorist Force were deployed to the area to restore order and strengthen security.
In response to the attack, residents of Hanna Urak staged a protest by burning tires and blocking a main road, disrupting traffic.
The protesters demanded that the government and law enforcement agencies take immediate action against those responsible for the shooting and ensure the safety and security of local residents.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the identities of the attackers or the circumstances surrounding the clash. An investigation into the incident is underway.
